Dr. Clarissa de Lima

Clarissa joined American Glass Research in 2019. Her main areas of responsibility will include fracture analysis, container testing as well as seminar instruction. Since 2012, she has been conducting research related to glass, including glasses for telecommunications, glass-ceramics and crystallization. Clarissa has a background in materials science and holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Campinas and a Master’s degree from the Federal University of Alfenas, both in Brazil. In 2015, she joined the Glass & Transparency Group from TU Delft as a PhD researcher, investigating new glass compositions containing industrial waste materials.
